The European Commission has launched a public consultation on the future of European Partnerships under Horizon Europe 2028-2034. The consultation covers two closely linked processes: the preparation of a future Single Basic Act for Joint Undertakings and any future legal acts establishing Article 185 TFEU initiatives, as well as the development of the broader portfolio of European Partnerships.
The Commission is seeking feedback on how partnerships can better support innovation, attract investment, strengthen collaboration and align with the EU’s strategic priorities. Stakeholders are also invited to identify thematic areas where future European Partnerships could have the greatest impact.
The consultation is open to public authorities, research organisations, universities, industry, SMEs, start-ups, civil society organisations and other interested stakeholders until 16 October 2026. Responses can be submitted through the Have Your Say portal of the European Commission (EU Login required).
