Today, ECTP participated in the “Innovation in Construction & Renovation on Affordable Housing” event organised by Housing Europe, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss how innovation can support affordable, sustainable and scalable renovation solutions.
Anastasiya Yurchyshyna moderated the panel “Institutional Interventions”, with contributions from 3 representatives of the European Commission: Pablo Gutiérrez Velayos, Philippe Moseley and Siobhan Nic Thighearnain, discussing the role of institutional frameworks and support mechanisms in enabling renovation at scale.
The event also featured the “Innovation Panel: European projects testing new approaches to scale renovation”, where three ECTP members presented innovative solutions from EU-funded projects:
🔹 Emre Yontem, EcoWise Ltd, presented Metabuilding Labs, an EU-funded project where ECTP is a partner, showcasing new approaches to accelerate innovation and collaboration in the construction ecosystem.
🔹 Giulia De Aloysio, Certimac | Materials. Energy. Sustainability., presented project aggregation at neighbourhood level, highlighting innovative pathways to support renovation beyond individual buildings.
🔹 Julien DIJOL, Housing Europe, presented how industrialised renovation solutions and prefabrication can help deliver renovations faster, supporting the scaling up of affordable housing renovation across Europe.
A great opportunity to exchange experiences, showcase ongoing European initiatives and reinforce the importance of collaboration to accelerate the transformation of the built environment. 🌍🏗️
